Mission
Cosmic Sounds is a place to enjoy music on your own terms. Create playlists from the tracks you love, discover new sounds, and listen alongside friends in a simple, distraction-free space.
The story
Cosmic Sounds began as a player for late-night listening centered around playlists and a passion for finding new music. Over time it has become a platform, with new ways to listen, explore and interact—from Radio and Listen Together sessions to a community leaderboard that shows what people are playing and a space to share playlists with others. The experience has changed along with these features with a look and updated Social and Account sections. Every new addition came from the purpose: making Cosmic Sounds a better place to listen together not adding features just to fill a list of things to do.
Design philosophy
The interface is built to stay out of your way: dark, high-contrast, and quiet, so the music stays the focus. Every screen favors clarity over decoration — thin borders, restrained color, and generous space instead of clutter.
Why space
Space is vast, quiet, and endlessly explorable — much like the way we want listening to feel. The cosmic theme is there as a backdrop, not the focus: subtle starfields and atmosphere that add to the experience without competing with the music.
